Beyond Sports Management sent their Director of Coaching, Fernando Picariello and coach Sebastian Ortega along with their players Guglielmo "Memo" Picariello (2006) and Sebastian Ortega (2005) to attend their training with Defensor Sporting Club in Montevideo, Uruguay. The Defensor Sporting Club was founded on March 15, 1913. They are a four-time national champion in Uruguay.

Fernando Picariello said, "The experience was a great opportunity for BSM Elite Academy. We learnt that South American soccer has a different style and approach. The coaches treat all players the same and like professionals. They focus on 1v1 drills, encourage physical play, and promote communication on the field. Both of our players excelled along with local players. The Defensor Sporting Club was very happy with Memo and Sebastian, and have invited them back next year!"
